Setting Up the Entity Master Key

An Entity Master Key is used to privatise and protect access to the itemised sales and other private data belonging to your company/enterprise/organisation/entity and is different from a User Master Key even though just like a User Master Key, the private component of an Entity Master Key is also NOT shared with Xiippy or any other parties.

The master user who creates the entity in Xiippy will be asked to set up an Entity Master Key right after setting up their User Master Key.

An Entity Master Key is shared only between the users of your organisation using an end-to-end encrypted process to assure your users remain able to access private data whilst Xiippy or any other parties maintain no knowledge of such data.

After a new user is created under Settings > Manage Users, upon authorising access to private enterprise data, the Entity Master Key is sent to such users using a private offline end-to-end encrypted message via the Xiippy back-end which enables the newly-created user to have access to such private enterprise data.

Accordingly, this screen enables you to create an Entity Master Key.

Please be mindful the process to save the key may take a few moments.

Step 1

Press the 'Step 1 Generate Entity Master Key' button to generate a private and pubic key pair. These keys are generated in your browser. The private key is never shared with Xiippy whilst the public key is saved in the profile of your company/entity.

Step 2

Press the 'Step 2 Complete Setup' button to finalise saving the key in the profile of the company while sharing it in end-to-end encrypted format with the other users in your enterprise.
